Cobb EMC/ SCANA "customer service" skills are lacking

 I really wish we really had a choice in our power and natural gas suppliers. When the gas industry "deregulated" a few years back, I went with "SCANA" because they were operated by CobbEMC, my electrical company, whom up until that point in time, I had good luck with.


Fast forward 6 months, when a billing error on CobbEMC's system got my power cut off, they apologized, and turned it right back on. Well, this happened twice more, same deal. On the 4th time, Cobb EMC refused to turn my power back on because of 3 disconnects within a year, even though it was their fault! In the end they apologized profusely, and paid for a bunch of food and a night in a hotel room. I was a happy camper with this resolution.
Fast forward again to now. I stopped getting my bills a few months back from Cobb EMC/Scana. I decided it was probably another billing glitch and contnued to pay my bill average. After 2 or 3 months I decided this was a problem and called them up. Turns out CobbEMC had changed my billing address randomly, without notice, to somwhere that isn't  my house! So I had them change it back. Still didn't get any bills, still kept paying the average amount I have paid during the summers in my 8 years in my house.

So I am sitting at the house one day and decided to bake some brownies, and find no gas, go outside, and realize they have cut me off! Turns out they did this while I was at home, with absolutely no notice at all! So I called them up, and they told me I was under-paying, and that I had to pay my bill in full before they would cust my gas back on. Do you see what they did? My bills were magically and mysteriously higher than they ever had been, they had not sent me a current bill to my correct address, AND I had to pay this "blind". Nice guys, real nice.

So I called and talked to "customer service", they were unhelpful. I spoke with them several times over the next few days, and I was out of gas seirvc from Tuesday morning until Friday afternoon because of this. I ended up talking to an extremely un-manly guy named Name Deleted who told me to drive down to discuss, which I did, and this chickenshit little man wasn't there! Real big man you are there, Name Deleted Good customer service, too.

So I leave a total of 4 messaages for Name Deleted after this, no return call. I call his manager twice, no return call. So, do you understand this? I still haven't received a bill, and I cannot get anyone to call me back. Real good job of customer service there, morons.

If you have SCANA or CobbEMC and have had ongoing billing issues like I have, I urge you to call and make a formal complaint like I did.
